Today, Everyday….Create Something Great
Happy New Year! Now that the hustle and bustle of the holiday season has ebbed…whew!
I sat down in my scrap-room not especially knowing what I wanted to create, but just wanting to CREATE! and this is what came of it. I was inspired by a wall-hanging I saw in a photo of the studio space at Scrapbooks Etc. magazine…and this phrase really inspired me. So…I created this 12 x 12 layout to hang in my room. I used a lot of old stuff on this….some Colorbok papers & swirls, some Pink Paislee baker’s twine (used in the hand-stitching), Pink Paislee chipboard alpha stickers, some tiny little thread spools that I scored at a garage sale awhile back, some ephemera that I have been hoarding, some pages from an old Webster’s dictionary, a pair of 49 cent scissors that I painted a baby pink, and other odds and ends.
Now go and create something great!

Nancy this is absolutely STUNNING, I love it so very much. It would look so good hanging in a box frame in a craft room. It is really very very beautiful, you are one talented lady!!
Absolutely love what is behind this beautiful creation! I have to say last year I got stuck behind the computer….not creating …not doing what I love..because I thought it was not good enough…every year..in fact twice a year…there is so much pounded at us with product..don’t get me wrong.. a dream would be for me to design for others…but I stopped..hoarded…and now I sit on a pile of “last year” and the year before that ….stuff….not creating the memories I enjoyed…so for this wall hanging for your room, I find it perfect to “pick” it off and do one for mine to remind me of what I need to do!!!!
Gorgeous! I love the scissors and spools!
Stunning stunning stunning…I absolutely lov e all the details….

Nancy,
This is so amazing! I love all of the 3D elements on this. I love the tiny spools and the scissors. The blue stitching just pops off the page. Thank you for sharing this wonderful creation. I am in the process of taking a class at BPC with Stacy Julian and I am loving the inspiration I am getting!
Fantastic layout Nancy, great details and love all the layers. The 3D elements are simply amazing! Love this one! FAV
This is such a great work of art, Nancy! I am not surprised, of course, but, still, very impressed, as always, with your creativity. While I am participating in a January LOAD challenge on the Let’s Scrap website, this will be my daily inspiration! Thanks!
