I am wishing everyone a safe & fun 4th of July!!!! Here is a project that I created using a kit from the Vintage Street Market – it is made out of a vintage slide projector wheel…how cool is that!?! Here is a direct link to the instructions for making this little beauty that I have hanging on my front door.
We had a “hen” party and made this…meaning…both of my sisters, my aunt, 2 cousins, and my mom & I got together and each made one of these patriotic wall/door wreaths. I need to give a special shout-out to my dear cousin AMY for scoring us these vintage slide projector wheels off of e-bay…and getting all the kits together to make this “hen” party so much fun!!! Thanx girlie!
To start off this Holiday weekend….we (meaning my kiddos, hubby, and I) participated in the 16th annual neighborhood 4th of July parade over in my parent’s neighborhood. My mom & I built this float (well, really we stuffed the wagon sides with napkins 🙂 ) for Lizzie to ride in as Miss America, and Saylor walked in the parade as Abraham Lincoln 🙂 HOT HOT HOT but good times were had by all! AND our little family won 3 awards…. Lizzie won a trophy for “Most Colorful,” Saylor won the trophy for “Most Original,” and Lizzie and our “float” won “Best in Show.”
At this point Abe’s beard was so hot it was started to slip around LOL!
By the time awards were handed out…Abraham Lincoln had had ENOUGH – thus, no photo showing Saylor with his trophy! but still…we had enough fun that we all agreed it was worth it! Happy 4th of JULY!
