Sister – Scraps of Darkness Feb Kit: “TellTale Heart”
Here is the 4th layout I have made using the EXQUISITE February Kit “TellTale Heart” from www.scrapsofdarkness.com. I made this for Lisa Novogrodski’s “Skeletons in the Closet” challenge over at the Scraps of Darkness site , with the challenge of using the word prompt of DRAMA.
I had a hard time photographing this…but check out the up-close photos to give you a better view of the details.
I made the background by handcutting a harlequin pattern…distressing…adhering the individual pieces and then using 2 different colors of Glam glitter paint (included with this month’s Color Add-on at www.scrapsofdarkness.com .) AND I LOVE this paint!!!! It really is a must-try, must-have.
for complete list of the amazing products included in this months “TellTale Heart” kit please check out www.scrapsofdarkness.com ! Oh, and the swirlies…they were made out of “As Seen On TV” BENDAROOS …
I included journaling for this on the back and reads: Sisters – isn’t there ALWAYS DRAMA when you have sisters. We have been sworn enemies, and best friends. We’ve laughed uncontrollably, confided in each other, been each other’s “alibi”, beat the crap out of each other – well, you did give me 2 black eyes – threatened, black-mailed, disowned, protected & fought for, conspired with, helped each other through REALLY bad times, shared in REALLY good times…No one knows me like you do Baby Sister…even with the DRAMA, we’re lucky we have sisters.
Here are the up-close photos:
Here are some pics of how the background came into being

Fabulous layout Nancy! Those were the days weren’t they….looks like a night on the town at Club Euphoria.
Love how you painstakingly cut and distressed each and every diamond. Very cool look, and the bendaroos are very clever. I love the swirls you created with them!
I LOVE that glimmer glam! This is an amazing project! Love how the pieces of paper look like leather!! Your are such an innovator! Digging your play list! So gonna get me that Muse track!
And yes I feel the same way about my sisters- annoying and lovely as they both are!
I’m gonna have to see this in person. This must have taken forever. Your post made me laugh just knowing the little I know about you and your sister.
WOW NANCY!!!!! I am speechless!!! That background is freaking A M A Z I N G!!!!! You made my little heart happy that you did such an awesome layout for my challenge. AND I can so relate to the “sister” thing!
Big hugs,
