Baby Fresh – Twisted Sketch #86 using Scraps of Darkness: January’s Winter Magic kit
Today is Wednesday! and that means another sketch goes live over at www.twistedsketches.com ! The “twist” for this week’s sketch is FRESH…any how or any way that inspires you to create! Be sure and come on over and play along…leave a link to your creation under the sketch #86 under the comments section at Twisted Sketches! I cannot wait to see what you create!
Here is my interpretation:
Here is my sweet baby taking a bath in the sink…oh, how I miss the easiness of those days…at least easier on my back LOL! I used my Scraps of Darkness Winter Magic kit for the majority of this layout….the metal pin was bought at an estate sale…the tiny white flowers and stems were bought at a yard sale, the title letters(little tags and white foam) have been in my stash so long I am unable to identify them- the others are from PRIMA. I used bathroom caulk and a wall-paper border for my flourish…a tutorial for this can be found at the Scraps of Darkness website HERE. I used Dermacoat acrylic paint in black around the edges…I just couldn’t leave the white alone. This is my first time at a monochromatic layout. I used my Distrezz-It-All to distress the edges of just about all of the paper used here….that thing is ROCKIN’ AMAZING!!!!
I was inspired to use all of the white paper because when I saw this picture…and when I thought about the “fresh” twist…I also envisioned soft, white, “fresh” baby powder, hence the inspiration of this twist!

TFL my friends! I cannot tell you how very much I appreciate you and your feedback!
Addendum: OOps! I forgot my up-close photos!

This is simply GORGEOUS! The mono chromatic LO for “fresh” is genius. Love the hint of black- it’s perfectly balanced. LOOOVE that you made the flourish from bathroom caulk! How cool it that??? The itty bitty letter tags are so cute- I really love everything about this page!
THIS IS AMAZING, Nancy! I am sharing it on my blog http://www.poetryinapotoftea.blogspot.com. Thanks for posting this inspiration and congrats on another term on the DT!!!!!!!
