Down on the Farm – Twisted Sketch #74

The latest sketch over at www.twistedsketches.com is now live!  The “twist” for this week’s sketch was ANIMAL, any how or any way that inspires you to create! Please come over and join in the fun – a direct link to this week’s sketch can be found HERE! Be sure and leave a comment under sketch #74  with a direct link to your interpretation of the sketch so everyone can see your work! I cannot wait to see your creations!

This is my not-so-much-of-a-baby-anymore Elizabeth at the TJF Farms.  It took her quite a bit of time to build up the courage to actually pet this little horse. She loves animals…even though she is a little scared of them too.

Product list for this project includes:  October Afternoon’s paper: Root Cellar, Chicken Coup, and Farm Fresh Journal cards (used on the background to give the “quilt-like” effect) & word stickers; EK Success Mega Retro flower &  photo corner punches; Provocraft scalloped scissors; Miss Elizabeth adhesive paper lace trim; Close To My Heart waxy floss, red cardstock,  and little bird stamps (Childhood Portrait);  Pilot’s Precise V5 black pen; and red rick-rack ribbon and buttons from my stash.  Basic tools used for this layout include: Tombow Permanent Adhesive, Martha Stewart Micro-tip scissors, &  Timeless Touches 12 x 12 cork board and paper piercer and Janlynn’s embroidery floss.

Here are some up-close details:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these October Afternoon papers and really thought they were PERFECT for this! TFL! and I cannot tell you how appreciative your comments are to me…they really make my day! If you are interested in signing up for my posts directly to your e-mail…please sign-up over at the right! Thanks my friends! Have a great “hump” day!

Oh Nancy, this layout is so adorable! As soon as I saw it, I thought October Afternoon! You captured the essence of that precious picture so beautifully. I totally love the “quilted” pieces in the back as well as all the stitching and embellishments, and of course Lizzie’s pokka dot skirt!
