Twisted Sketch #68 is now live over at www.twistedsketches.com. The “twist” for this sketch was VINTAGE – any how or any way that inspires you to create. You can view the sketch HERE. Please come over and play along….this challenge sketch site is extra-special….Anam Stubbington provides you with not only a great sketch, but gives you an extra little TWIST to really get you creating “out of the box”! Be sure and link your layout up under the COMMENT section under the sketch over at www.twistedsketches.com ! I cannot wait to see what you create!
I love these pictures of Elizabeth. They were taken at the little neighborhood 4th of July parade this year. When Lizzie put on my red beret, I was instantly struck by her timeless beauty….and thought these photos would be perfect for this VINTAGE twist!
I used a lot of old products here….YEAH!
The floral paper is old paper from Colorbok…I cut out the center of the paper making a flower frame with my handy dandy X-Acto knife. The other paper used for the actual design is from Close To My Heart, as is the postcard “tag” used in the title work. The little “Calling Card” used for the journaling is from Tattered Angels. The red die-cut bracket frame is from DCWV – from their Holiday Specialty DieCut Stack (found at Michaels.) The Alphabet Rub-ons used for the title are from Anna Griffin. Other supplies used for this: Zva pearl flourish; Bic’s Mark-it permanent marker in “Dusty Rose” used to color the Zva pearls; Prima flowers; red-dot flower centers from Martha Stewart; flourish stickers from Karen Foster Designs; brown chalk ink from Colorbox; paper piercer from Timeless Touches; and Janlynn embroidery floss. The glitter feather and key were Christmas ornaments I bought at Walmart for 50 cents after Christmas.
