Merbaby – a revisit to an older but personal favorite!
I love this layout….probably more because of my sweet little chubby “mermaid” than anything else…but I also think that it shows a beginning of my “outside-the-box” thinking when it comes to my layouts. I look at absolutely EVERYTHING as a potential embellishment…..in case you haven’t noticed 🙂
I did this layout back in January of 2008…shortly after I started scrapbooking. I’m posting this here because I am planning on redo-ing a new version of this. My style has changed so much…yet, I can definitely see the direction I meant to go here. Look at my juicy baby….she’s not so juicy anymore, but still my little cutie pie.
It has been so long since I did this page…but I think I used DCWV paper for the bg…I printed a photo off of the internet for the sky/ocean view, used sandpaper for the beach, some shells along the bottome, a shell disc intended for a necklace (I think) for the moon, the scales on the fin were made by cutting apart a rather intricate sequined trim (brand unknown.) I’m not sure about the map paper used for the title…the title font is a stamp from CTMH. TFL! Stay tuned for newer version of this cutie pie mermaid!
This is so fun. She’s adorable.
She is the CUTEST cutie pie!
