Twisted Card Sketch #14 with the “GOLD” twist!
Well, yesterday marked another Twisted Card sketch over at www.twistedsketches.com ! This week’s twist was GOLD, any how or any way that inspires you. This was a HUGE challenge for me! I really am not a fan of GOLD, I’m more of a silver person. I really was shocked that I was able to find as much GOLD “stuff” in my stash as I did. Here is my interpretation:
I am very happy with how this turned out, being that I really found it a challenge. It is a lot more sparkly in real life.
Supplies I used here include: Basic Grey’s Cappella/Pagentry paper (front and back sides); Prima Butterfly; Bic’s Mark It permanent marker in “Tiki Hut Tan” which I used to turn my Zva Pearl Adhesive flourish from white to GOLD; Inkadinkado’s Bird stamp -stamped in Colorbox’s GOLD pigment ink; Best Occasions adhesive metal GOLD dots; Janlynn’s Gold metallic floss, K & Company’s “All Occasion” vellum sticker quotables and Colorbox Chalk Ink in several shades of brown to ink the edges.
If you haven’t checked out this Sketch challenge site, they post a sketch for layouts every Wednesday, and a sketch for cards every Saturday. The sketch for this particular card can be found here.
Here a few more up-close detailed photos:
Oh Nancy, this is absolutely beautiful! I am not a fan of gold either, and I think you might have just changed my mind! By the way, Frankie loves the music playing on your website! : ) A song by Cas Haley called Show You…never heard of it, but very relaxing.
Lovely interpretation of the sketch. You’ve done so well with the gold twist! Thanks for playing along with us atTwisted Sketches!
What a stunning card!!!
