“The All-American Boren Brothers” -Twisted Sketch #55 with the “flag” twist!

June23

The latest Twisted Sketch is live over at www.twistedsketches.com ! The twist for this assignment was “flag.”  There are some amazing interpretations of  THIS sketch over at Twisted Sketches…you really should check it out and play along.  Just be sure and link up your layout under the comment section at Twisted Sketches!  Here is my interpretation of this latest sketch.

I think it is pretty obvious how I integrated the “flag” twist into my project.  I bought this platter at our local Dollar General Store for $1.50.  It looks like about the size of an average plate…but I assure you it is larger.  I will include some photos to demonstrate it’s size in comparison to an average “plate.”  The 2 boys in this layout are my nephews….they are the biggest baseball fans and players that I know (well, next to their parents – fans that is.)

The Kraft chipboard here was purchased at www.scrapbook.com . The chipboard scalloped edge is from CTMH.  The little fans were made out of some old Heidi Swapp cardstock.  The star buttons are from my stash, as is the red/white/blue ribbon, and zig-zag trim.  The yellow sticker letters are from Prima.  The “Letterman” stickers are Thickers, and the little “the” is Little Yellow Bicycle.  I used a lot of hot glue and Terrifically Tacky Tape to ensure a strong bond on this platter as it is hard plastic.  TFL! and I appreciate your comments and feedback!!!
