I would like to tell you that blogs aren’t a big headache…but alas, I cannot. Seems like somehow, someway, my blog has become somewhat compromised….maybe it is the “heartbleed” but whatever it is, it is causing me a great big bleeding headache. But with that said, I will try once again to up-date you on the vast array of projects I have created with the amazingly gorgeous papers from Maja Design. To see the projects up-close, with step-by-step details, you’ll have to go visit the Maja Design blog (click HERE.) First
That should get you up-to-date, if I’m really lucky! 🙂 Create something amazing TODAY! TFL! Hugs, Nancy
Well it is hard to believe, with fresh snow on the ground …..but it really is March, and Spring is officially right around the corner.
Maja Design has posted their beautiful and inspirational Mood Board for March 2014. We would love for you to come over and join in on the fun. AND you could win some of the most gorgeous paper that there is to be had! You haven’t seen beautiful paper until you have seen ANY one of the beautiful Maja Design paper collections in person.
Here is what I created, using Maja Design’s Vintage Autumn Basics paper collection & the March Mood Board for my inspiration. I created a 12 x 12 mixed media canvas piece, and a little cork sail-boat. On the back of the jar (of the little cork sailboat project) I posted the 2nd part of a Swedish folk song that is included in the Mood Board. I just loved the sweetly sad feel to the song and it just seemed to fit the mood of the little boat. To read the words…you need to visit the Maja Design blog, because it was just impossible to capture the words in a photo.
I hope to see you over at the Maja Design blog. And I wish you one super creative day! -Nancy
Here is an up-cycled pen organizer I created using the gorgeous Vintage Spring Basics paper collection from Maja Design (specifically the papers: 6th of May front and back; 3rd of March front and back; 5th of May; 7th of May back).
I created this out of a Sonic drink carrier…you know the one they give you when you order a ton of drinks during their happy hour 🙂 well, this was perfect to use for an organizer….shove some of the cardboard inner rolls from your toilet paper down into it for further organizing your colors and voila…it practically organizes itself. For the full details on I covered this and embellished it…please visit the Maja Design blog HERE. I also show you how this makes a great silverware holder for parties or picnics using some fancied up mason jars on the Maja Design blog site as well….so get over there already! 🙂
Thanks for looking my friends! Hope you are having one heck of a creative day! And no matter what, “All is Well!” – Nancy
Today I have a sweet layout to share.
TFL my friends!!! I hope you have a wonderfully creative weekend!
My latest project was created on a 12 x 16 canvas panel, using the gorgeous Sommartider paper collection from Maja Design.
This piece was a lot of fun to create.
My inspiration for this came from what I believe to be was “Barbie” packaging (what was left over from my daughter’s Christmas present) – it had a great horizon scene which inspired me, and one of my daughter’s books.
I love children’s book illustrations and often think that one day I may actually write and illustrate a children’s book. Who knows?
For a complete list of papers and supplies used, please visit the Maja Design blog HERE.
Here is a layout I created, for my dear friend and cousin, of her sweet and darling little baby girl! I used the gorgeous Vintage Autumn Basics & Vintage Spring Basics paper collections from Maja Design.
What a darling this child is! and she is so super smart too!

Here is a Burger King crown that I altered for my little Fancy Nancy girlie girl. I used the gorgeous Vintage Spring Basics paper collection from Maja Design. This paper collection is such a breath of fresh air from all the cold harsh weather we have been having here in OK. For details on this project, please visit the Maja Design blog…. HERE.
