Here is the latest layout I created using the amazing June “Welcome to the Jungle” kit from www.scrapsofdarkness.com ! Be sure and get over and check out this amazing monthly scrapbooking kit club…and be sure and stop in to the Scraps of Darkness Shoppe – so many amazingly cool papers and embellishments!!!!

There are so many little details I put into this page…I wish everyone could see this in person because I just cannot get a photo to portray the “love” I made this with.

I will share a TON of up-close and detailed photos and maybe you can get a better feel for what went into this.

the little feathers are from my stash…as are some of the silk flowers…I love to buy flowers at Hobby Lobby when they are 50% off – which is almost every time I go into that store….I tear them/cut them apart…ink them, stain them, paint them, layer them with my other Prima flowers….they always come in handy

Above you can see my border punches in action…the gate punch is from Martha Stewart, the fleur-de-lis punch is EK Success, which really is one and the same as EK Success makes Martha Stewarts punches LOL!  Also, you can see part of the negative sticker strip that I used from the Bo Bunny sticker sheet that came in this month’s Scraps of Darkness kit.

Above you can see how I used the little pieces that got “punched-out” with the Fleur-de-lis border punch….nothing goes to waste!

Above, you can see how I used these same “punched-out” pieces to accent my flowers.

Above you can see one of my newest Martha Stewart scrolly, heart border punches…I used a black pen to highlight the pattern…I LOVE LOVE LOVE this punch.  The “furry” animal print ribbon is from my stash…I thought it was perfect for this kit!

Everytime I sat down to create with this kit….my whimsical side seemed to come out!  Thus, you have a fish here….LOL….I have wanted to use this fish forever…It is from K & Company….it came out of a package of ephemera…I “think” from the Que Sera Sera line?! Here I just had to layer it with the little sticker frame.

Above is a little photo of my sweet little Baby Witch…I’ve scrapped this photo at least 2 other times that I know of…but I don’t care…I absolutely LOVE this photo and will be sure to scrap it again.

The title letters are from Graphic 45…I cut them square, leaving a few round for visual interest.

The “bubble-wrap” and “grid” stamping is from Tim Holtz…I used acrylic paint and Staz-On ink on these. The butterfly is K & Company.

I added some black buttons, painted them with some Plaid metallic copper paint and then lightly sanded them.

The photos are of my parents….at just around the same time, just totally different places.  I used my June 2011 “Welcome to the Jungle” kit from www.scrapsofdarkness.com to make this layout, using Twisted Sketch #107 - I hope you come over to www.twistedsketches.com and play along with the weekly sketch challenge….and be sure and drop by www.scrapsofdarkness.com – the kits are AMAZING…and uniquely different!!!!

The above border punch (which I cut out) is from EK Success. I used the scrap pieces created by the punch for the “confetti” at the top.

The above flowers are from my stash…and I bought them from Michael’s for the sole purpose of using them as a template to make my own flowers from yarn…aren’t they fun?

This new Dusty Attic chipboard “chicken wire” can be found in the shoppe/store over at www.scrapsofdarkness.com – I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff!!!! The large foliage chipboard piece is also from Dusty Attic and I “stickled” the heck out of it with the stickles that came in the Scraps of Darkness kit.

I usually like to showcase my individual projects with lots of supporting up-close & detailed photos…if you visit my blog often, or really, even just once , then you know this about me….But alas, it is already 11 pm…my mother-duties have caused me to go into over-time….both of my kiddos are still awake unfortunately, but they are “allowing” me to blow dry my hair….so here I sit and type while I do just that! Mothers are such multi-taskers!!!  Anyway…I am laying it all out there….here are the 4 projects that I have created with this amazing kit!  My OCD self wouldn’t allow me to not come back on a later date and give each project it’s due…but not tonight!  So, without further ado, here you go! and thank you guys, and gals I REALLY do appreciate each and every one of you! and LOVE to read your comments and feed-back! Makes my heart happy to share something that I have so much love in doing!

Above here is the layout that I created for the exclusive sketch our amazing Sketch Design Team member, Charlotte, created for this kit!  This is one of my dear friends, and former roomies!  She’s one of those friends that you can call every blue moon and feel like you haven’t missed a beat with her…a very “low maintenance” friend…really, the only kind you can have when you are raising a family!

My inspiration for this piece was a “folk-arty” calendar that my mom has at her house! It’s old and I definitely don’t know who/what/where to give the credit for my inspiration.

I used a McGill starburst punch for this background! what can I say…I felt a little quirky creating with this kit!   I will definitely be showing some up-close photos of this background…the dimension is rather awesome!!!!!

Now I ask you…how FABULOUS IS THIS KIT!!!?!!!!!

I haven’t had the time to devote to this kit as I normally would like because of my hectic life circumstances lately…but don’t worry, I have some serious plans to do it some SERIOUS devotion, and the justice it deserves! In the meantime, I did manage to create 4 layouts using this fab kit that will follow in the up-coming posts…so, stay tuned!

What a week this has  been.  I promised some detailed photos of my last layout, “In the Summertime” using the May “Now & Zen” kit from www.scrapsofdarkness.com AND Sketch #105 from www.twistedsketches.com – better late than never, so here you go:

I made the above flourish using one of my hole punches and then backing it with black cardstock.
