Here is my interpretation:
Love this fun photo of my maternal grand-parents…having a blast in their vintage style swimming “costumes.” The quote rub-on applied to the photo (brand unknown) says..”Life, it’s all about the fun.” and isn’t that the truth 🙂
Known products used here include: A lot of the paper used for this is exclusive Scarlet Lime paper, also used is some Girl’s Paperie “Toil &n Trouble” – all of the paper was from one of my Scarlet Lime kits…exactly which kit, I really have no idea. other products used on this include: CTMH “Magnifique” paper – the blue paper used for the leaves…which were created using one of The Crafter’s Workshop templates; Tombo permanent adhesive; X-acto knife; Colorbox Chalk ink; hot glue/hot glue gun; Thickers letter stickers from American Crafts “Fantastic” from the Dear Lizzy line; Glitz Design’s pink tiny alpha stickers; Prima mask (used in the “framing” of the photo); Close to My Heart (CTMH) ink in Autumn Terracotta, Retro Flower Punch in 2 different sizes from EK Success.
Here are some up-close photos:
Had a lot of fun with this photo and sketch! TFL my friends and be sure and drop over to www.twistedsketches.com to play along with us!
I have this friend….one of those friends that really “knows you”….a confidante….someone who lives a “parallel life” to you, and just KNOWS what you are going through. She also happens to be my 1st cousin. Her name is AMY and we share A LOT in common….we both ‘got’ the naturally curly hair, big green eyes, & flat feet…of all genetic things 🙂 We have ALWAYS been close, and really she is more like a sister to me. She is incredibly artistically talented…and amazes me everyday with her work and her ability to make ART more than just a hobby. Do me a favor and check out her AMAZING work HERE! Well….she recently had a very special birthday….and I really wanted to make her something extra-special….and so I made her a “She Art” girl:
I bought this canvas for dirt cheap at our local Salvation Army (my “own” way of recycling) 🙂
I used some DCWV paper…..tons of acrylic stamps from: Prima, CTMH, & Glitz Designs for the background texture….the flower in her hair is Prima…and it was hand-picked by my baby Elizabeth. 🙂 The title lettering is from October Afternoon and 7 Gypsies. The black bling is from Prima…and their are a ton of rub-ons that I just couldn’t keep up with. I also used a Tim Holtz mask here. Here are some up-close photos:
Happy Birthday AMY! Love you!!!!
Well…apparently I didn’t have enough to do and signed up for an ATC swap through an awesome store in OKC (The Paper Crown) right before Easter…I have been so busy lately, that I am only now posting the cards that I made for this….it was my first time doing a swap, or doing ATC (Artist Trading Cards) for that matter.
I really felt like I had “bit off more than I could chew” with signing on for these….I had lots of Design Team commitments…but alas, I was able to get everything done… AND….I was happy that I participated. Thanx AMY for encouraging me to do this, it was really fun….and I’m thinking I’ll do it again. Here is a photo of the other ATCs that I received:
How awesome is this Ticket Receipt holder from 7 Gypsies…..I’ve wanted one of these for awhile…and when I saw it at The Paper Crown…I caved. 🙂 It is the perfect size for displaying your ATC cards…and EZE PEAZE to change out! Love it!!!! TFL!
