Here is my 7th and final layout made out of the magnificent April “Foundations” kit from www.scrapsofdarkness.com ! I used this kit to it’s fullest potential….all I have left are some pretty pathetic scraps!
This is a photo of my maternal grandparents! I miss them so much!
This kit from www.scrapsofdarkness.com is FULL of the gorgeous Timepiece Collection from BoBunny. The hand-picked embellishments are divine! If you want a monthly scrapbooking kit club that’s “different” – with an edgy twist, a flair for the different and unique….then you have come to the right place at Scraps of Darkness!
Here are some up-close detailed photos:
TFL my friends! Wishing each and everyone of you a super creative and crafty weekend!!!!!
The latest sketch is up over at www.twistedsketches.com – Twisted Sketch #98 - with the “twist” of paint, any how or any way that inspires you to create. Here is my interpretation:
This is the 6th layout I have created using the amazing April “Foundations” kit from www.scrapsofdarkness.com ! Talk about amazing and versatile kits! They are full of the unique, the extraordinary, and the exquisite…..Scraps of Darkness specializes in kits that are out-of-the-ordinary, edgy, waiting to be distressed….this kit club is special, but don’t take my word for it, check it out HERE for yourself.
I used a lot of acrylic PAINT on this layout….I dry-brushed Plaid acrylic paint in black on the background and in the center of the red background square. I also used red acrylic paint … using bubble-wrap to randomly “stamp” the background. I lined the outer rim of the acrylic clock piece with black acrylic paint as well.
This layout was made using the Timepiece Collection from this month’s Scraps of Darkness kit…a few Tim Holtz accents, flowers, E K Success sticker flourishes (my stash) , ZVA bling crystal flower accents…some AWESOME Spanish Moss (to see the full contents of this month’s Foundations kit please check out www.scrapsofdarkness.com ) …and voila’! Here are my 2 kiddos….and the title couldn’t be any more true! TFL my friends! and here are some up-close, detailed photos:
Please come over and join in the fun at www.twistedsketches.com – post a direct link to your layout under the “comment” section of Twisted Sketch #98 so I can marvel at your creation! TFL!!!
Here is the layout I made for Lisa’s aka Raining’s challenge over at www.scrapsofdarkness.com called “Skeletons in the Closet” – the challenge is open to everyone, so come on over and join in on the forum fun! The challenge was to answer the Question: What defines you? Well…like an onion with many layers, I don’t feel that one thing defines anyone…so of course I had to really fill this one up! and to use one of Lisa (aka Raining’s phrases) – this is a bit of a “product sneeze” believe it or not, there are 10 photos on this. I used the glorious April Kit “Foundations” from Scraps of Darkness for this one… Let me tell you about this monthly kit club….it specializes in the different, avant garde, the not so cute and warm-fuzzy…and more on the dark, grungy, edgy, fab stuff. Don’t get me wrong….love the cutesy too….but the grungy & edgy is more intense…..gets me thinking outside of my box. So come over to www.scrapsofdarkness.com and check it out! and if you don’t want to miss out on the kits being SOLD OUT, then you are going to have to dive in and become a subscriber! You won’t regret it!!!!! and a great big THANK YOU to all my friends that take the time to support and comment on my creations! I would be lost without you! Have a scrap-happy weekend….and I hope you get to create! -Nancy

The little girl in this photo was my maternal grandmother’s mother…so my great-grandmother. I don’t have information on her parents or her brother. This layout was done based on the exclusive and exquisite sketch that one of my fellow Design Team members over at www.scrapsofdarkness.com made especially for this kit.
